Program partnerships are at the heart of the Twaweza approach. Through unorthodox, strategic partnerships Twaweza aims to stimulate the development of an ecosystem through which citizens can exercise agency– gain information, monitor progress, speak out and make change happen– and in turn secure better public services. We work with partners in water, education and health, and we also have partners that support citizen agency more broadly. A key criterion for partnership selection is reach and scale. As a general rule our partners work nationwide and reach at least two million people, including in rural areas. More information on our criteria for partnership brokering.
