Uwezo Uganda Results discussed in the Daily Monitor

The Daily Monitor of Uganda reports from a recent Policy Forum in Kampala, where a presentation of the Uwezo results sparked discussion. The author concluded that resources for education are being wasted. The Uwezo Uganda assessment coordinator said at the Forum, that results from the Uwezo pilot study showed that many children could not read and tell the right arithmetic. He said, if people are going to get value for money, the duty to educate children should not be left to the government alone, which has invested a lot of money in Universal Primary Education.
