Call for submissions: mobile photo competition – Inequalities in Education

We are one country but we live many different lives. Have you noticed these differences? Can you use a photo to tell the story of inequality in our country?

Not long ago Twaweza held an open discussion on Inequalities in Education sector in Tanzania. This discussion was backed up by Uwezo data which have consistently highlighted substantial differences in both learning outcomes and school environments between urban and rural households, between the wealthy and the poor and between specific locations.

Twaweza is looking for powerful images that depict the stark inequalities in education. In one area, maybe even in one house, children are growing up learning differently, experiencing school differently and having access to completely different facilities and services.

Can you capture these stories with your mobile phone?

If yes, then this is for you! Twaweza is delighted to announce a photo competition on the theme of inequalities in education.

Prizes? Yes, 10 people with the best photos will be given a smartphone as a prize. This is your chance to win!
