Consultancy Opportunity: Website Design and Development
Twaweza East Africa is seeking a qualified web developer, digital agency, or firm to design, develop, and launch a new organisational website. The website will serve as Twaweza’s central digital hub, showcasing our work across Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda while improving user experience, accessibility, visibility, and engagement with diverse audiences, particularly young people.
About the Assignment
The selected consultant or firm will lead the end-to-end design, development, testing, and launch of a modern, secure, and user-friendly website that reflects Twaweza’s mission and regional presence. The assignment includes website architecture, UX/UI design, CMS development, AI-enabled functionality, testing, staff training, and post-launch support.
We’re Looking For
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Proven experience designing and developing websites for NGOs, civil society organisations, research institutions, or development organisations.
- Strong expertise in UX/UI design, information architecture, and front-end/back-end development.
- Experience with CMS platforms, analytics, SEO, and website security.
- Experience integrating AI-powered tools such as chatbots or virtual assistants is an added advantage.
- A portfolio of at least three relevant website projects completed within the last five years.
Timeline
The project is expected to be completed within 12 weeks, with the website fully launched by the end of the assignment period.
